How Much Exercise Do I Have to Do to Lose Weight?

How much exercise is necessary for weight loss?

An article from MSN tackled this question and they did a pretty good job. Here's the scoop. It doesn't matter how much time you're working out or how much. At this point, if you're reading this you just want to drop weight and keep it off because what you're doing right now isn't working. Unlike weight loss products or infomercials who promise exorbitant amounts of weight loss their purpose is to sell you a product you don't really need and create as much emotional buying power as possible to get you to want to buy what they're selling. Just like my purpose is to make your life better with food and fitness.

You might be walking or lifting weights or whatever you do that's important. There are two things that you can do right now that not only will double weight loss but will improve your fitness.

1. Keep a food journal I've said this again over and over but keeping a food journal doubles your weight loss. Why? Because it keeps you accountable for the food you intake. Once you start losing weight keeping a journal (and yes you will lose weight) you won't have anyone or anything to blame for not losing weight because you'll realize that you were eating more calories than you thought.

2. Increase your intensity If you're already exercising like walking or lifting some weights adding another element like increased intensity will improve your fitness. If you're walking 15mins bump it up to 20 or 30 minutes. If you haven't starting lifting weights what are you waiting for? If you are lifting more.

You have no excuses now because these things are easy to are easy not to do. It's your choice. I'm sorry if I didn't tell you what you wanted to hear but I'm not here to lie to you. I care about you if you're reading this I make it a priority to deliver truth and not hype.
